Tackling Anger Issues: Reclaim Control Over Your Emotions

You don't have to let anger control your life. Counselling offers a safe and supportive space to understand the root causes of your anger and develop the skills you need to manage it effectively.

GET IN TOUCH

Uncontrolled anger can feel like a powerful force that takes over. It's often a symptom of underlying emotions like hurt, frustration, or fear. Left unaddressed, it can manifest in damaging ways that effect us emotionally, physically, mentally and in ways that harm our relationships.

How Anger Manifests

  • Physically: It can put a strain on your body, leading to increased heart rate, elevated blood pressure, and a feeling of constant tension. Over time, this can contribute to chronic stress and other health issues.

  • Mentally and Emotionally: Anger can consume your thoughts, leading to rumination and a heightened state of stress and anxiety. It can also be followed by feelings of guilt, shame, and low self-worth.

  • In Relationships: It can damage your relationships with family, friends, and colleagues. Outbursts can lead to isolation, mistrust, and a breakdown in communication, leaving you feeling disconnected and alone.

Finding Your Way Forward

Through our sessions, we can work together to:

  • Identify Your Triggers: We will explore what causes your anger, helping you understand the underlying emotions and patterns that lead to angry outbursts.

  • Develop Coping Strategies: You will learn practical tools and techniques to calm your nervous system and respond to situations in a healthier, more controlled way.

  • Improve Communication: You'll learn to express your needs and feelings clearly and assertively, without resorting to anger or aggression.
